CBS unveiled a first look at the cast of "Survivor" Season 47 earlier this month.
As has become the hallmark of the show, contestants hail from across the nation and come from a variety of backgrounds. Among them is an ER doctor, a flight attendant, a construction worker and an E-Sports commentator.
Viewers may recognize one notable person on the cast this season: Jon Lovett, a podcaster and co-founder of Crooked Media who was also a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama.
The 18 cast members will have to work together to build shelter, form alliances and win challenges, all while strategizing to vote one another out of the game.
